I embrace a national & international Passion and Love for the human race. My mission is to help educate society in creating a unity amongst mankind, an understanding and respect with each other regardless of race, sex, religion, residence, age or social status. I am a firm believer in the saying:

Until you have walked in another person’s shoes, you can not fully understand the reasoning or motives inside someone else’s mind.

One of the lesson’s Life has taught me early on is: never say “never”, because you never know. I, myself, at one point in my  life did participate in the narrow minded, self absorbed attitude of  “I never would” or the discriminating injustice of “ I believe that this is the only way…..” until one day, during one of my narrow minded moments, I received a message from the great one. In this message the quote came to me:

“Do not judge, for I will be harder on you on your judgment day.” From this moment on, I have chosen to walk the path of observation and reasoning with other people’s purpose in this life. I have not participated in the judgments of religious and political aspects of all societies. I have decided that this was not my place.

During my life’s teachings, I am grasping the full meaning of acceptance amongst people. (Example- all humans recognize that everything the great one has created is different, the earth is different from the universe, but yet the universe as a whole are a family, the tree’s placed on this earth are all different, but of the same, the air is different in locations, seasons, conditions – but yet, it’s all the same. Our waters are all different – but still water) Nothing is the same in any family but yet we are all with in the same.

Even in Dance, dance styles differ, but yet all the same. None are a chosen one, just a preference within each individual soul’s desire. Dance in my perspective is an educational tool to help us reach an understanding within ourselves to reflect the respect of others; almost as if one this understanding is gained within ourselves, our souls radiate an unseen light – like the light that reflects from the sun and reflects upon other souls which creates a force to draw certain souls that yearn for this shade of reflective light.

Raqs Sharki, Orientele Danse, Middle Eastern dance, Belly Dance, Gypsy, Tribal, Egyptian Dance, “what ever” anyone wants to call it, its still the oldest dance form known in history, it has just been dissected and added on to, and borrowed from. It’s still the same. I happen to feel that this is the mother dance to all dance forms, the dance form that gave birth to all dances known to mankind.

I also feel that through the eyes of the soul. Dance draws the preferred shade of light to each individual – the style, form of dance they prefer. It is a reflection of the shade, color of light for that particular soul. So in essence, the dance is still beautiful. With this understanding and not being judgmental for your own preference we are able to understand the passion of life, Passion is eliminated through hastiness, jealousy, egotistic and paranoid minds. All these are darkness trying to shadow the reflective light of the soul. Grace and Love for life, respect for life individually open this awareness of inner beauty amongst all of us. Creating peace; creating a beautiful dancer within ourselves to share with others.

Life for me is a learning process. It is a life long process. As I learn, I teach, as I teach, I learn even more.

My personal teacher is a mirror. Every time I turn to the mirror, I learn something new, a new awareness in the inner me. I learn who my resources are and what they are. I teach that we are all our own teachers, its only what we chose to teach ourselves.

I currently am not teaching in a class room setting of the foundation of Middle Eastern, (belly dance). My teachings at this time are charitable teachings to human kind, on how to obtain the resources needed to learn the dance. Share the dance. Not to compete with each other with the dance, but to share the beauty of the dance amongst each other.

To create: confidence. A positive reflection within our dance. Our teachers have a hard time with the dark shadows. The intention is there to create unity, but the politics in dance keep the dark shadows coming in and clouding their light. I am in the process of learning how to work with our teachers to create a unity of acceptance, not insecurities. It is within us to keep the light of our souls in dance reflecting the shades of light and not darkness. This will prevail in keeping our dance alive and well, not let it fall back into repeated history of being only a trend. The oldest trend known to the dance world.

MISSION:

I am not afraid of sharing information about the dance that I learn or have learned, I want to.

I am not insecure within myself to not recommend other dancers

I am confident enough within myself to share upcoming events with other dancers, whether it is a performance or a workshop or private lessons with a respected dancer – I am willing to share and not keep secrets. Keeping this information private is for soloists only, anyone claiming that they are trying to create a community and being private about there whereabouts because they do not want other dancers to know are misleading. They are not creating a sisterly dance community. They too have insecurities.

I am not looking for labels to heighten my name or reputation. If I am given a label or reputation, then it will be attached. Only if given to me with respect will I accept a label with hard work on my behalf.
